Plaque reads: &quot;Historic Jeferson Denver South Park &amp; Pacific Railroad Depot Jct. of US Hwy. 285 and Cty Rd. 35 National Register of Historic Places 98001554, Listed 12/31/1998 The circa 1880 depot with Stick style architectural detail is a well preserved example of a wood frame combination depot serving both passengers and freight. It remained in active use until 1937 and is one of only a few intact historic structures surviving from the DSP&amp;P Railroad&#039;s narrow gauge rail network that extended from Denver into Colorado&#039;s rich mining and ranching regions during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Located at mile post 81.12, at an altitude of 9,508 feet, the depot is all that remains of a facility that at one time included stock pens, a coal bin, wye for turning locomotives, 47,500 gallon wood water tank, a two-story frame section house, and 3,059 feet of siding.&quot;]]></dcterms:description>
