Description

Headstone in Como Cemetery dedicated to the January 10, 1893 mine explosion at King No. 5 mine that killed 24 miners. One additional miner died days later due to wounds sustained in the initial blast bringing the total death count to 25. Photo by Sam Carlson. Source: Donated by Sam Carlson in 2021.
