An article from the The Park County Republican and Fairplay Flume discussing the distribution of semester reports with some below passing but several students averaging around 90%, mid-year curriculum changes (Economics replacing Sociology, new English history course, advanced bookkeeping,) a fire incident in the grade building quickly contained by teachers using fire extinguishers, the announcement of an upcoming spelling contest between schools from Alma, Como, Garo, Hartsel, Jefferson and Fairplay, classroom activities including boys making tie-racks, girls starting dresses, and primary boys creating toys.
