    <dcterms:description><![CDATA[Lake George Ice Company. About 1920. Cutting ice on Lake George. Men lead the horse-drawn plows that carved deep grooves in the ice in an pre-marked grid pattern. Workers moved in with saws, long chisels, and steel-tipped pikes and systematically broke off sections and floated them to a conveyor.<br />
